The winner of the CT Geographic Bee is William Foster, an eighth grader from The Independent Day School took top honors at the 2017 Connecticut National Geographic Bee held today at Central Connecticut State University. The state champion will receive $100, the National Geographic Concise Atlas of the World, 4th Edition and a trip to Washington, D.C., to represent Connecticut in the National Geographic Bee Championship to be held at National Geographic Society headquarters, May 14-17, 2017.
The 29th Annual Connecticut Geographic Bee, sponsored by the National Geographic Society, will be held at Central Connecticut State University on Friday, March 31st, 2017. About one hundred of the top geography students in grades four through eight will gather to compete for the top geographer in the state! The winner will win an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC to compete against all state winners.
