GIS Educator’s Day
Whether you’re a K-12 or college educator, an experienced GIS ninja or a GIS neophyte, GIS Educators Day belongs on your fall calendar! This powerful technology – GIS – reflects and reinforces all the best trends in education today: 21st century technologies, problem-based learning, inquiry, STEM, and interdisciplinary investigation.
At GIS Educators Day, you’ll spend an entire day networking with and learning from like-minded K-16 educators. Get hands-on practice with the newest GIS tools and applications, hear presentations about amazing things other educators are doing with GIS, and discover the range of topics they’re exploring with this formidable tool. At GIS Educators Day, you’ll get tips and tricks for GIS implementation from the best educators in the field. There’s something here for everyone.
GIS Educators Day is a one-day pre-conference to NEARC’s annual professional user conference which will run from November 5 – 8 at the Newport Marriott in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Professional 3-day Registration includes entry to all workshops, technical sessions and general sessions, Esri Collaboration Center, vendor exhibit area, Vendor Reception & Poster Social on Monday, Dinner Event on Tuesday, continental breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and lunch on Monday and Tuesday. The NEARC Welcome Mixer on Sunday evening is not included with conference registration; tickets will be available for an additional fee.
